STRONG WEEKEND FOR CRAIG IN QUEENSLAND
Craig Lowndes enjoyed a strong V8 Supercar Championship weekend at Queensland Raceway with a trio of second-place finishes.
Starting from pole position for Race 23, Craig led the field for the first half of the race before ceding to teammate Jamie Whincup, the Red Bull duo then going on to finish 1-2 again in Race 24.
And in Sunday's Race 25 Craig raced from ninth on the grid to second with some great driving and clever strategy.
"That's certainly a better weekend than the past couple," Craig Lowndes said.
"The team gave me a great car and the boys did an awesome job, so it's a great result for everyone."

"We made a number of adjustments today and the car is reasonable but we have to make a bit more progress overnight. The wind was a big problem today, it was buffeting the car around quite a lot, making it hard to get a consistent read. At this stage we're looking for an extra tenth of a second to be in the top pack so it's very close at the moment.
"Coming off the back of the 24 Hours of Spa I had to remind myself what car I was in but I'm definitely happy to be back on home soil in a V8 Supercar. We're fortunate that we know this track like the back of our hand and we know the conditions are constantly changing from day to day, so I'm looking forward to a good night's sleep so we're ready to punch it out again tomorrow."

"It's good to bounce back from Townsville. In race 1 today I struggled with pace in the second half of the race and that's where Jamie got me. We knew it was going to be cooler for the second race so we changed the car accordingly, and our car was really strong toward the end.
"It's been a good day getting a Red Bull 1-2 gives us real momentum going forward. Bring on tomorrow."

- Narrows Championship points gap again
"We didn't have the qualifying that we wanted today so we knew that it was going to be a tough race starting from ninth. We had a few potential strategies going in to the race but we ended up being stuck in traffic, so it was a great call by the team to pit after lap one because we had good pace at the start of the race but couldn't do anything with it.
